What is waxing?

Waxing is the process of hair removal from the root by using a covering of a sticky substance, such as wax, to adhere to body hair, and then removing this covering and pulling out the hair from the follicle. As a result, the hair grows back thinner and slower.

How to prepare for your appointment

These steps will ensure a long-lasting wax!

  1. Allow the hair to grow – the size of a grain of rice is perfect!

  2. Exfoliate your skin 1-2 days before.

  3. Freshly washed skin is best.

  4. Stay hydrated

  5. Take ibuprofen 30 minutes before (optional).

Waxing Aftercare

Avoid touching treated area for 48 hours.

No hot showers or baths (use cool to lukewarm mater).

Wear clean, loose fitting clothes for 24 hours.

Avoid working out or swimming for at least 24 hours.

No sun bathing or tanning beds.

Avoid swimming pools, sauna's, jacuzzi, and spa environments.

No exfoliating for 72 hours.

Do not pick ingrowns, let your esthetician remove them.
